About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Indian Chef to join our multi-cuisine restaurant team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in traditional and modern Indian dishes, excellent kitchen management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse culinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes, including North Indian, South Indian, Mughlai, and regional specialties.
• Develop and innovate new recipes while maintaining the restaurant’s quality and taste standards.
• Ensure proper portioning, plating, and presentation of dishes.
• Manage mise-en-place, daily prep, and stock levels for Indian cuisine.
• Monitor food freshness and uphold strict hygiene and sanitation standards (FSSAI compliance).
• Coordinate with the Head Chef and kitchen team for smooth service operations.
• Train and guide junior cooks, commis, and kitchen helpers.
• Manage inventory, minimize waste, and ensure cost-effective kitchen operations.
• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all menu items.
• Collaborate on menu engineering, food costing, and seasonal specials.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Indian Chef or Demi Chef in a reputed restaurant/hotel.
• Expertise in Indian spices, herbs, cooking techniques, and regional preparations.
• Strong knowledge of tandoor operations and curry preparations.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Good communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of food costing, kitchen safety, and hygiene practices.
• Culinary diploma or relevant certification preferred.
