The Impact You Will Have In This Role The Database Administrator will provide database administrative support for all DTCC environments including Development, QA, client test, and our critical high availability production environment and DR Data Centers. Extensive knowledge on all aspects of MSSQL database administration and the ability to support other database platforms including both Aurora PostgreSQL and Oracle. This DBA will have a high level of impact in the generation of new processes and solutions, while operating under established procedures and processes in a critically important Financial Services infrastructure environment. The Ideal candidate will ensure optimal performance, data security and reliability of our database infrastructure. What You'll Do Software Installation, configure and maintain SQL server instances (On-prem and cloud based) Implement and handle High availability solutions including Always ON availability groups and clustering. Support development, QA, PSE and Production environments using ServiceNow ticketing system. Review production performance reports for variances from normal operation. Optimize SQL queries and indexes for better efficiency. Analyze query and recommend the tuning strategies. Maintain database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products. Perform database backup and recovery strategy using tools like SQL server backup, log shipping and other technologies. Provide 3rd level support for DTCC critical production environments.
