Job Title: Product Category Head Pipes & Bath Fittings

Job Purpose:

The Product Category Head will be responsible for driving the strategic growth and profitability of the Pipes and Bath Fittings category. The role involves category planning, product portfolio management, pricing, innovation, and alignment with business goals. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Operations to strengthen the companys market position and deliver customer-centric solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy & P&L Ownership

    • Define category vision, strategy, and business plan for Pipes & Bath Fittings.
    • Own end-to-end P&L responsibility for the category.
    • Analyze market dynamics, competition, and emerging trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Product Portfolio & Innovation

    • Drive product portfolio development and rationalization based on market needs.
    • Partner with R&D and Manufacturing to introduce innovative, durable, and cost-effective products.
    • Ensure timely launch of new products and manage lifecycle of existing portfolio.
  • Pricing & Positioning

    • Develop pricing strategies to maximize profitability while ensuring competitiveness.
    • Define product positioning and differentiation strategies in the market.
  • Sales & Marketing Collaboration

    • Partner with Sales teams to drive retail, project, and institutional business growth.
    • Work with Marketing on campaigns, product promotions, and brand visibility initiatives.
    • Enable channel partners with category knowledge, training, and sales tools.
  • Operational Excellence

    • Monitor supply chain efficiency to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
    • Optimize inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for raw material planning.
  • Stakeholder & Team Management

    • Lead a category team of product managers/associates.
    • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies/vendors.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of

    pipes, plumbing solutions, and bath fittings industry

    .
  • Proven expertise in

    product/category management, P&L, and strategy building

    .
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 1218 years of experience in product/category management, preferably in

    pipes, plumbing, or bath fittings industry

    .
  • Demonstrated track record of managing P&L and scaling product categories.
  • Experience in

    launching new products and driving market penetration

    .

Should be open to travel across markets in India.
