Hydra Repairing Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Hydra Repairing Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service hydraulic cranes (Hydras) used in the steel industry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of hydraulic lifting equipment, minimizing downtime, and supporting production activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic cranes (Hydras) and related equipment used in steel handling and transportation.
  
• Conduct routine maintenance and preventive servicing of hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses.
  
• Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic faults and implement effective repairs in a timely manner.
  
• Dismantle and assemble hydraulic components and systems as required.
  
• Test and calibrate hydraulic machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
  
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
  
• Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and other technical teams to coordinate repair schedules and minimize production disruption.
  
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations during all repair and maintenance activities.
  
• Manage inventory of spare parts and recommend procurement as necessary.
  
• Provide technical support and guidance to operators regarding safe usage and basic maintenance of hydraulic cranes.
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Hydra mechanic or hydraulic mechanic, preferably in the steel or heavy industry.
  
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and machinery operation.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical drawings.
  
• Skilled in mechanical repairs, welding, and use of hand and power tools.
  
• Familiarity with safety procedures related to heavy equipment and hydraulics.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Physical ability to work in demanding industrial environments.
  
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in mechanical or hydraulic engineering is preferred.
