Job Description

As a member of the property Human Resources support staff, you will work with Human Resources employees to carry out the daily activities of the Human Resource Office. This includes overseeing recruitment, total compensation, and training and development. Your focus will be on delivering HR services that meet or exceed the needs of employees, enabling business success while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and operating procedures. To qualify for this role, you should have a high school diploma or GED along with 3 years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related major, along with 1 year of relevant experience, will also be considered. Your core work activities will involve managing the recruitment and hiring process, administering and educating employee benefits, managing employee development, maintaining employee relations, and overseeing legal and compliance practices. You will assist in interviewing and hiring Human Resource employee team members, establish and maintain contact with external recruitment sources, and network with local organizations to source candidates. Additionally, you will work with the unemployment services provider, prepare unemployment claim activity reports, and attend unemployment hearings. Furthermore, you will support a departmental orientation program for employees, ensure cross-training for successful daily operations, and facilitate new hire orientation programs. You will also be responsible for maintaining effective employee communication channels, reviewing progressive discipline documentation, and conducting employee accident investigations when necessary. In terms of legal and compliance practices, you will ensure employee files contain required paperwork, maintain compliance with procedures for accessing employee files, and communicate property rules and regulations via the employee handbook. You will also manage Workers Compensation claims, oversee the selection and offers processes, and represent Human Resources at the property Safety Committee.
