Job Description: HR Generalist

Position Overview

The HR Generalist plays a key role in managing day-to-day HR operations and supporting the full employee lifecycle. This role involves overseeing recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, HR policies, compliance, payroll coordination, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, people-focused, and able to handle multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.

Role & Responsibilities

Onboarding & Offboarding

Conduct employee onboarding, induction, and documentation.

Prepare offer letters, appointment letters, and contracts.

Manage exit formalities, exit interviews, and full & final settlements.

Employee Relations & Engagement

Act as the point of contact for employee queries and issues.

Support employee engagement programs, events, and internal communication.

Address grievances and support conflict resolution.

HR Operations & Administration

Maintain and update employee records (HRIS/HRMS).

Manage attendance, leaves, and timesheets.

Assist with payroll inputs and coordinate with finance/payroll teams.

Ensure compliance with labor laws, policies, and statutory requirements.

Performance Management

Support the performance appraisal process (quarterly/annual).

Assist managers with goal setting, performance documentation, and feedback cycles.

Identify training needs and coordinate learning programs.

Policy Management

Draft, review, and update HR policies and employee handbooks.

Ensure policies are communicated and adhered to across departments.

25 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in core HR operations.

Strong knowledge of HR processes, labor laws, and statutory compliance.

Proficiency with HRMS tools, MS Office, and documentation.
