Job Description

Description

We are seeking an experienced HSE/Safety Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and fostering a safe workplace culture.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
Identify potential hazards and assess risks to mitigate workplace accidents.
Provide training and support to employees on HSE best practices and emergency response procedures.
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare and maintain safety records and reports for regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Stay updated on HSE regulations and industry standards to ensure continuous improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in HSE management or safety engineering roles.
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards in India and internationally.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing safety management systems.
Proficiency in HSE software and tools for reporting and compliance tracking.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and teamwork.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions regarding safety practices.
Certification in HSE or safety-related fields (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a plus.
