Description

The Lead Instrument Technician will oversee the instrumentation department, ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards and that the team operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of instrument technicians in the installation, maintenance, and calibration of instrumentation systems.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all operations.
Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment.
Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to identify and resolve instrumentation issues.
Train and mentor junior technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and calibration activities.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
8-10 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of process control and instrumentation systems.
Experience with calibration of various types of instruments such as pressure, flow, and temperature.
Familiarity with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
