Job Description

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning HR strategies with business goals for the formulation division. The role will focus on workforce planning, talent management, performance enhancement, and employee engagement, ensuring HR contributes directly to organizational success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic HR Partnership

  • Work closely with plant/functional leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals
  • Provide insights and solutions on workforce planning, succession planning, and capability building
  • Partner on change management initiatives, organizational design, and restructuring when required

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Support end-to-end hiring in collaboration with the TA team for key roles in manufacturing, QA/QC, production, regulatory, etc.
  • Drive talent mapping and pipelining for future-ready teams

3. Performance Management

  • Facilitate goal setting, mid-year, and annual performance reviews
  • Coach managers on performance feedback, development plans, and interventions for low performers

4. Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Address employee concerns and grievances promptly, ensuring a healthy work environment
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, local regulations, and company policies

5. Training & Development

  • Partner with L&D to assess training needs and deliver functional and behavioral training for the site
  • Implement IDPs (Individual Development Plans) and career progression plans

6. Engagement & Retention

  • Drive employee engagement initiatives customized to plant/site needs
  • Monitor attrition trends, conduct exit interviews, and suggest retention strategies

7. HR Operations & Analytics

  • Monitor key HR metrics (headcount, attrition, TAT, etc.) and provide reports to management
  • Ensure smooth implementation of HR policies, audits, and SOP adherence

Qualifications:

  • MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent
  • 812 years of experience in HR, with at least 3–5 years in a business partnering role
  • Exposure to pharma manufacturing/formulations environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
