Position Overview

The HR Services will act as a strategic partner to US-based Venture, Growth, and Steady State clients, providing end-to-end HR advisory, consulting, and operational support. This role requires the incumbent to design, implement, and optimize HR policies, practices, and frameworks tailored to the dynamic needs of high-growth organizations. The individual will collaborate directly with client leadership teams, ensuring compliance with US labor laws while building scalable people-organization solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Consulting & Advisory

  • Serve as a primary HR advisor for clients across various growth stages, understanding their business models and people-related challenges.
  • Provide guidance on HR best practices, organizational structure, workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Deliver high-quality consulting on sensitive HR matters including terminations, disciplinary cases, workplace disputes, and compliance situations.

2. Policy Design & HR Framework Development

  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies, SOPs, employee handbooks, and governance frameworks aligned with US federal and state regulations.
  • Create scalable HR processes suited for fast-growing clients transitioning from startup to growth/mature stage.
  • Standardize hiring, onboarding, compensation, and benefits structures for clients based on industry standards.

3. HR Operations & Service Delivery

  • Manage and support day-to-day HR operations for clients, including onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS updates, HR documentation, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Coordinate with payroll teams to ensure accurate employee records, benefits enrollment, compensation updates, and statutory compliance.
  • Implement HRIS platforms, define workflows, map processes, and ensure clients leverage systems effectively.

4. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Conduct periodic HR audits and risk assessments and recommend corrective actions.
  • Advise clients on regulatory requirements during organizational changes such as expansion into new states, restructuring, or acquisitions.

5. Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with founders, CXOs, HR leaders, and operational stakeholders.
  • Understand client growth trajectory, anticipate HR needs, and proactively recommend scalable solutions.
  • Deliver HR insights, data analysis, and strategic input for improving workforce productivity and retention.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Masters degree (MBA/PGDM in HR) preferred.
  • Certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or HRBP are an added advantage.

Functional Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of US labor laws, HR compliance, and multi-state regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience drafting HR policies, handbooks, engagement models, and SOPs.
