Assistant Manager Payroll & Compliance

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management

• Manage

  end-to-end payroll processing

  for employees, including monthly payroll, arrears, bonuses, incentives, and deductions.
• Ensure timely and accurate

  salary disbursement

  in coordination with finance and banking teams.
• Handle payroll reconciliations, variance analysis, and payroll MIS reports.
  
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data accuracy in payroll systems.
  

Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with

  PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS, and other statutory regulations

  applicable to construction/infra industry.
• Coordinate timely filing of statutory returns and payments.
  
• Handle inspections, audits, and notices from statutory authorities.
  
• Stay updated with changes in labor laws and statutory requirements.
  

Labor & Contract Compliance

• Manage compliance related to

  contract labor

  , including CLRA, wage registers, muster rolls, and statutory documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies.
  
• Support site teams in compliance-related matters.
  

Audit & Reporting

• Support internal and external audits related to payroll and statutory compliance.
  
• Prepare and submit payroll and compliance reports to management.
  
• Ensure proper documentation and record retention as per statutory requirements.
  

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with HR, Finance, Site Admin, and external consultants for payroll and compliance activities.
  
• Address employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies effectively.
  

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of

  payroll processing and Indian labor laws

• Experience in

  construction/infra industry payroll & compliance

• Hands-on experience with

  PF, ESI, TDS, PT, CLRA

• Proficiency in

  Excel and payroll systems/software

• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills
  
• Ability to handle audits and statutory inspections confidently
