HR Manager

Job Summary:

Sri Kannan Silks is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Executive/Manager to oversee HR functions and hiring activities across our two retail outlets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing recruitment, staff coordination, attendance, and HR compliance, while also improving employee engagement and workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for shop staff (sales executives, cashiers, helpers, etc.)
• Maintain and update employee records, attendance, and shift scheduling
• Handle employee onboarding and exit formalities
• Assist with performance evaluations and provide HR support to the management team
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
• Ensure HR compliance with company standards and local labor laws
• Act as the point of contact for employee grievances and conflict resolution
• Support employee engagement and training initiatives
• Coordinate with shop supervisors for daily HR-related updates

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in retail or a similar setting
• Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and compliance
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Tamil & English)
• Ability to work independently across multiple store locations
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic HR software

• Prior experience in textile, retail, or showroom-based environments
• Problem-solving mindset with strong organizational skills
