Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the EXIM leadership team to define hiring plans, role specifications, and workforce projections specific to export-import functions.
  • Write and post detailed job descriptions for EXIM-related roles.
  • Actively source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, logistics forums, industry-specific databases and recruitment agencies.
  • Pre-screen applicants with emphasis on technical skills (e.g., Sales, pricing, knowledge of Inco-Terms, DGFT procedures, customs laws, shipping documentation etc).
  • Coordinate multi-stage interview processes involving the EXIM department and external stakeholders.
  • Manage offer negotiations and onboarding for EXIM hires ensuring compliance with internal compensation structures.
  • Build a strong pipeline for time-sensitive EXIM positions and seasonal volume requirements.
  • Maintain hiring metrics such as Time to Fill, Quality of Hire, and Source of Hire for EXIM-specific roles.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, labor market conditions, and skills in demand across global trade and logistics.
  • Participate in trade-focused job fairs and campus placements related to logistics and foreign trade programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in HR, Business, or related discipline (MBA in HR is preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in recruitment with at least 1–2 years focused on hiring for EXIM, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of EXIM documentation (e.g., Shipping Bills, Bill of Lading, Letter of Credit), customs clearance processes, and freight movement.
  • Proven experience in hiring for niche roles in export-import operations.
  • Proficiency with ATS tools, Excel reporting, and hiring dashboards.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
