HR Generalist - Plant HR

Role & responsibilities

• Provide HR support to plant leadership and employees, acting as the first point of contact for HR-related queries.
  
• Manage employee relations issues including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions in partnership with the HR Manager.
  
• Support talent acquisition by coordinating recruitment efforts for plant positions.
  
• Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless employee experience.
  
• Coordinate training and development programs in alignment with plant needs and compliance requirements.
  
• Maintain accurate HRIS records, employee files, and documentation.
  
• Administer benefits and leave programs in coordination with corporate HR.
  
• Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures tailored to the plant environment.
  
• Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and labor tracking systems.
  
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and support internal communications.
  
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (EEO, FMLA, OSHA, etc.).
  
• Participate in audits and ensure HR-related documentation is in compliance with internal and external standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  
• 5+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant setting.
  
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  
• Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP) is a plus.
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  
• Bilingual (e.g., English/Spanish) preferred, depending on workforce demographics.
