As a Housekeeping Supervisor, your role involves supervising and leading the housekeeping staff to maintain cleanliness and uphold service standards. Here's a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - **Supervision and Leadership**: - Directly supervise the housekeeping staff, offering guidance and support. - Conduct regular meetings and training sessions to ensure staff awareness of cleanliness standards and procedures. - Define SOPs for the Housekeeping department and related processes. - Conduct morning and end-of-day briefings to discuss priorities, resolve challenges, and review achievements. - **Room Inspection and Quality Control**: - Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness standards. - Address any deficiencies promptly and maintain consistent quality. - Audit staff rooms for cleanliness and maintenance standards. - Coordinate end-to-end for maintenance-related issues. - **Scheduling and Staff Allocation**: - Develop and manage housekeeping schedules for adequate coverage. - Allocate staff based on occupancy and workload. - Ensure balanced workload and effective shift allocation. - Resolve queries and manage leave effectively for high team morale. - **Inventory Management**: - Manage housekeeping supplies and equipment inventory. - Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment. - Place orders for supplies as needed and verify received items. - **Guest Interaction**: - Respond to guest requests, inquiries, and concerns promptly. - Communicate guest preferences and special requests to the team. - Collaborate with other departments for seamless guest experiences. - **Reporting and Documentation**: - Maintain accurate records of room status, activities, and staff performance. - Prepare reports on housekeeping metrics and performance for management. - Generate monthly consumption and stock movement reports. - **Budget Monitoring**: - Review daily expenses and ensure alignment with the budget. - Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality. - Share regular MIS reports for cost controls. - **Exigencies and Problem Resolution**: - Develop emergency response protocols and coordinate with relevant departments. - Address and resolve housekeeping issues promptly, implementing corrective actions.
