As a Housekeeping Supervisor at our company, your role involves overseeing the housekeeping staff and ensuring that cleanliness standards are maintained to provide a comfortable environment for guests. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - **Supervision and Leadership:** - Directly supervise housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support. - Conduct regular meetings and training sessions to ensure staff awareness of cleanliness standards and procedures. - Define SOPs for the Housekeeping department and related processes. - Conduct morning and end-of-day briefings with the staff to discuss priorities, room assignments, and any special instructions. - Review occupancy rates, guest arrivals, and special requests. - **Room Inspection and Quality Control:** - Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and maintenance standards. - Address any deficiencies promptly and communicate with staff to maintain consistent quality. - Audit staff room to ensure cleanliness standards are met. - **Scheduling and Staff Allocation:** - Develop and manage housekeeping schedules for adequate coverage. - Allocate staff effectively based on room occupancy. - Ensure a balanced workload and proper shift allocation among team members. - Resolve team members" queries to maintain high working morale. - **Inventory Management:** - Manage and maintain housekeeping supplies and equipment inventory. - Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment. - Place orders for cleaning supplies as needed and verify received items. - **Guest Interaction:** - Respond to guest requests, inquiries, and concerns related to housekeeping. - Communicate guest preferences and special requests to the team. - Collaborate with other departments for seamless guest experiences. - **Reporting and Documentation:** - Maintain accurate records of room status, housekeeping activities, and staff performance. - Prepare regular reports on housekeeping metrics and performance. - Generate monthly consumption and stock movement reports. - **Budget Monitoring:** - Review daily expenses to align with the budget. - Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality. - Share regular MIS reports on cost controls. - **Exigencies and Problem Resolution:** - Develop emergency response protocols and coordinate with relevant departments during unforeseen events. - Address and resolve housekeeping issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
