Housekeeping Executive
Location: Apollo Hospital, Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Department: Housekeeping / Facility Management

Job Summary

The Housekeeping Executive is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation throughout the hospital premises. This role ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff, and supports hospital operations by implementing effective housekeeping processes in line with hospital policies and relevant standards. Key Responsibilities

1. Cleanliness & Sanitation

  • Perform and oversee cleaning and sanitization of wards, patient rooms, ICUs, OPDs, corridors, waiting areas, restrooms, and other common areas. Medipulse
  • Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment as per guidelines. Jobhai
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are neat, safe, and hygienic. Medipulse

2. Infection Control & Safety

  • Follow infection control protocols, cleanliness standards, and safety procedures consistently. Medipulse
  • Ensure appropriate segregation and disposal of waste (including non-biomedical and other waste) according to hospital procedures. Medipulse
  • Report hazards, spills, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to supervisors promptly. Jobhai

3. Inventory & Supplies

  • Monitor and replenish housekeeping supplies, such as disinfectants, soaps, paper products, and cleaning tools. Medipulse
  • Maintain records of cleaning materials and ensure adequate stock levels are available. Medipulse

4. Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate housekeeping activities with clinical and non-clinical departments to support smooth hospital operations. Medipulse
  • Assist in orientation and support of new housekeeping staff on procedures and standards. Medipulse
  • Respond professionally and courteously to requests or feedback from patients, visitors, and staff. Medipulse

5. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain records of cleaning schedules, inspections, logs, and reports as required. Medipulse
  • Support compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and audits. Medipulse

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; Graduate preferred. Jobhai
  • Experience: 4–5 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment. Jobhai
  • Understanding of hospital sanitation protocols, cleaning chemicals, and infection control practices. Medipulse

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
