Housekeeping Associate

Position Summary:

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms, corridors, and assigned hotel areas. This role ensures a comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Room Cleaning

• Clean and tidy guest rooms according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, and replace towels.
• Clean bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, and mirrors.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors.
• Remove trash and recycling from rooms.

Restocking & Supplies

• Replenish amenities such as toiletries, tea/coffee sets, and minibar items (if applicable).
• Refill housekeeping carts with linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
• Report low inventory levels to supervisors.

Guest Service

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Respond to guest requests quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy.

Safety & Maintenance

• Report maintenance issues or damage in rooms or public areas.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly.
• Ensure lost and found items are reported and handled per hotel policy.

Teamwork & Communication

• Work closely with housekeeping supervisors and fellow team members.
• Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.
• Follow task lists, schedules, and priority assignments.
