Hostel Warden

About the Role

We are looking for a responsible, disciplined, and student-friendly Hostel Warden to manage the day-to-day operations of our residential school hostel. The ideal candidate must ensure safety, discipline, cleanliness, and a positive environment for all boarders.

Key Responsibilities1. Student Management & Discipline

• Maintain discipline among students and ensure adherence to hostel rules.
• Supervise daily routines including wake-up, study hours, dining, and bedtime.
• Monitor students’ behaviour and wellbeing, and handle conflicts or concerns promptly.

2. Safety & Security

• Ensure the safety of all boarders and maintain regular headcount.
• Monitor student movement during in-time/out-time, outings, and emergencies.
• Maintain proper records of attendance, late entries, permissions, and leave.

3. Hostel Administration

• Oversee cleanliness of rooms, washrooms, and hostel premises.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams.
• Report repairs, maintenance needs, or any deviations immediately to the management.

4. Health & Wellbeing

• Provide first-level support for sick students and coordinate with the school nurse/medical team.
• Maintain a friendly and approachable environment so students feel comfortable sharing concerns.

5. Communication & Reporting

• Submit daily/weekly reports on boarder attendance, activities, and any incidents.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student behaviour, health, and leave.
• Coordinate with academic staff, counsellors, and management for student welfare.

Requirements

• Minimum Graduate (Science/Yoga/Nursing/Sports).
• Prior experience as a Hostel Warden / Residential Facility Manager preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage adolescents/children with patience and discipline.
• Physically fit and available 24/7 on campus.
• High sense of responsibility, integrity, and alertness.
