About the Role

The Community Manager is the heart and soul of Joey’s Hostel. You’ll be the person who makes sure guests don’t just stay with us, but truly experience Jaipur. From hostel vibes, events, and guest engagement to ensuring an overall fun, safe, and welcoming atmosphere, you are the bridge between the hostel and its community of travelers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Guest Engagement & Experience

  • Welcome and interact with all guests in a friendly and approachable manner.
  • Organize daily/weekly activities (walking tours, pub crawls, food trails, cultural events, game nights, etc.).
  • Create a positive vibe in common areas by encouraging conversations, games, and interactions.
  • Be the “go-to” person for local recommendations (cafés, attractions, hidden gems in Jaipur).

2. Events & Activities Management

  • Plan, promote, and execute hostel events to ensure maximum participation.
  • Partner with local artists, musicians, guides, and businesses to enhance activities.
  • Keep the events calendar fresh, creative, and aligned with hostel brand.

3. Social Media & Content

  • Capture and share daily hostel life moments (photos, reels, stories).
  • Collaborate with the marketing team for promotions and campaigns.
  • Engage with guests online to promote Joey’s community culture.

4. Community Building

  • Foster a sense of belonging for both short-term travelers and repeat guests.
  • Handle guest queries and concerns with empathy and quick solutions.
  • Encourage responsible guest behavior that respects hostel culture and house rules.

5. Coordination & Reporting

  • Work closely with the Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Café team to ensure seamless guest experience.
  • Provide feedback to the Property Manager on guest trends, preferences, and improvement areas.
  • Submit weekly event/activity reports and guest engagement highlights.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English + Hindi; knowledge of another language is a bonus).
  • Outgoing personality – loves meeting new people and building connections.
  • Prior experience in hospitality/tourism/events is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Jaipur’s culture, history, and local hotspots is a plus.
  • Basic social media/content creation skills (photography, reels, Canva).
  • Flexible with working hours – evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
