JOB SUMMARY: The Horticulturist at Bumitraa Bio Green World is responsible for planning, designing, and implementing a wide range of horticultural projects. This includes landscaping, garden development, plant health management, and sustainability practices. The role plays a vital part in enhancing green spaces, promoting eco-friendly practices, and ensuring plant vitality across all projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITES: Project Planning & Design Plan and design landscape layouts, ornamental gardens, vertical gardens, and terrace gardens. Select appropriate plant species based on soil, climate, and aesthetic requirements. Create seasonal planting schedules and garden plans for residential, commercial, and public spaces. Collaborate with architects and designers on green space integration into construction projects. Project Execution & Supervision Oversee day-to-day execution of horticultural and landscaping projects on-site. Manage plant installations, transplanting, pruning, and irrigation setups. Supervise gardening staff and train them on best horticultural practices. Ensure timely completion of projects as per client requirements and quality standards. Plant Health & Maintenance Monitor and maintain plant health, including soil quality, nutrient levels, pest control, and disease management. Implement organic and eco-friendly plant care methods. Plan and schedule regular garden maintenance activities including watering, fertilization, trimming, and cleanup. Inventory & Resource Management Maintain an inventory of plants, seeds, tools, fertilizers, and gardening materials. Coordinate with nurseries and suppliers for plant procurement and delivery. Ensure optimal use of resources and minimize wastage. Sustainability & Innovation Implement sustainable gardening techniques such as composting, rainwater harvesting, and organic pest control. Innovate with new trends like indoor plantscapes, hydroponics, vertical gardens, and medicinal gardens. Client Coordination & Reporting Interact with clients to understand needs, preferences, and budget constraints. Provide expert advice on plant selection, maintenance, and aesthetic enhancement. Submit regular progress reports and project documentation to management and clients. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Horticulture, Botany, Agriculture, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in landscaping or horticultural project management. Strong knowledge of plant species, soil types, fertilizers, and climate conditions. Proficient in landscape design tools and horticulture software (optional but preferred). Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Preferred Attributes: Passionate about plants, greenery, and sustainability. Creative flair for garden aesthetics and landscaping. Strong problem-solving and time management skills. Ability to work outdoors and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
