Job Description Key Responsibilities : Big Data Testing : Conduct comprehensive testing for big data applications, focusing on both automated and manual testing for data validation and UI testing. SQL & Linux Operations : Utilize your proficiency in SQL to write and execute complex queries for in-depth data validation. Leverage your Linux skills for hands-on operations and troubleshooting within the big data environment. Spark Job Testing : Prove your experience in testing Spark job performance, security, and integration across diverse systems. Hadoop Ecosystem : Apply a strong understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem and experience with job scheduling tools like Airflow and Oozie. Test Automation : Contribute to test automation efforts, ideally with familiarity in frameworks like Robot Framework. Strong automation skills are a definite asset. Defect Management : Gain hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla to effectively report and manage defects. Cloud & Storage : Work with S3 buckets and cloud storage workflows, leveraging this experience in your testing strategies. Collaboration : Collaborate effectively within a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment, working closely with development and other QA teams. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience : 2-5 years of experience in Big Data testing, focusing on both automated and manual testing for data validation and UI testing. Technical Proficiency Proficient in SQL and Linux with hands-on experience. Strong understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem and job scheduling tools like Airflow and Oozie. Proven experience in testing Spark job performance, security, and integration across diverse systems. Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla. Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework), with automation skills being a strong asset. Basic programming knowledge in Python is a plus. Experience with S3 buckets and cloud storage workflows is & Soft Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment. Adaptable and eager to learn new tools, technologies, and processes.
