JOB TITLE: PRODUCT ENGINEER

BE in Mechanical / Masters degree preferred

Execute the Design & Development tasks for Customer Application programs through Voice of the customer adopting the standard Engineering and company operating systems, test, apply and oversee the Product design and Engineering.

Accountable for designing and developing the Product Sunroofs, Shading systems, etc.

• Perform engineering calculations necessary for the product design of these components and systems.

• Provide support to manufacturing engineering, and quality at Pune plant.

• Work on product changes and make sure that they are implemented correctly.

• Work in a matrix organization i.e., local support to plant.

• Understanding customer requirement making Design proposals, customer approval, product validation and fit and function at vehicle and getting product approval from customer.

• Represent Engineering in all customer projects for Indian application programs.

• Capture and clearly understand/communicate the voice of the Customer (robust application of product designs)

• Provide technical presentations to local OEMs to promote and / or improve companys technical image.

• Develop Customer intimacy and provide competitive technical solutions to meet customer and GBI needs.

• Ensure the robust application of bookshelf solutions in line with the product strategies of the Centers of Expertise.

• Proven knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up,

• Working knowledge of DFMEA, DVP, VAVE & MPV.

• Benchmark competitor products and provide feedback to the COE of market trends and GBIs position and opportunity within the local market

• Coordinate the technical content of the customer RFQs.

• Ensure & execute a full analysis of customer specification before RFQ submission to the customer.

• Ensure all product designs are fully validated to OEM & GBI specifications prior to release for production.

• Measure & Ensure Customer satisfaction, Quality, Cost and Delivery
