Hi We are Hiring Presales Presales Consultant for the SLED (State, Local, and Education) vertical

He will be responsible for guiding and mentoring a team of presales professionals. This role plays a pivotal part in the sales cycle by providing technical expertise, solution design, and strategic guidance to support the sales team in securing new business and expanding existing accounts within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of presales engineers and solution consultants, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous learning, and professional growth.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate training to enhance the team's technical and consultative skills.
    • Manage team resource allocation and scheduling to ensure optimal coverage for sales opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Sales and Technical Strategy:

    • Collaborate with the SLED sales team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, account plans, and territory-specific initiatives.
    • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and C-level executives.
    • Lead the technical discovery process to deeply understand customer requirements, pain points, and business goals.
    • Design and architect comprehensive solutions that align with customer needs, showcasing the value and capabilities of the company's offerings.
  • Solution Delivery and Enablement:

    • Oversee the creation and delivery of compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and technical deep-dives for prospective clients.
    • Manage the response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other procurement documents, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.
    • Direct and support the team in conducting Proof of Concepts (POCs) and technical validations to demonstrate the feasibility and value of proposed solutions..
  • Market Expertise:

    • Maintain a deep understanding of the SLED market, including budget cycles, procurement vehicles (e.g., cooperative purchasing agreements), and the specific challenges faced by state governments, local municipalities, and educational institutions.
    • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to effectively position the company's solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a presales, solution architecture, or technical sales role, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or management position.
  • Proven experience selling to and supporting SLED accounts in the US.
  • Deep knowledge of government and education procurement processes, RFPs, and contract vehicles.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Experience with CRM and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Willingness to travel as needed to customer and partner sites.
