Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Technical Leadership

• Lead end-to-end execution of utility-scale solar projects with cumulative experience of

  300+ MW

  .
• Oversee electrical installation activities including transformers, switchgear, HT/LT panels, inverters, cabling, earthing, and SCADA systems.
• Ensure project execution as per approved designs, SLDs, technical standards, and safety guidelines.
• Conduct and supervise inspections, FAT/SAT, testing and commissioning (T&C) of electrical systems.
• Lead the complete

  Grid Connectivity process

  from application to commissioning for utility-scale solar projects.
• Coordinate with

  STU/CTU/SLDC

  for grid feasibility, connectivity approvals, bay allocation, and transmission line planning.

Site Control & Coordination

• Establish site control mechanisms for manpower, materials, machinery, and safety compliance.
• Ensure strict monitoring of daily work progress, productivity, and adherence to approved schedules.
• Maintain site discipline, resource utilization, and adherence to technical drawings and SOPs.
• Implement site-level QA/QC practices and ensure rectification of non-conformities.
• Conduct regular site audits, toolbox talks, and safety inspections to ensure zero-incident operations.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Lead, guide, and monitor site execution teams and contractors to ensure timely project delivery.
• Coordinate with EPC partners, OEMs, vendors, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams.
• Provide technical support and resolve critical site-related issues proactively.

Contract Management

• Review and manage EPC, subcontractor, and vendor contracts to ensure compliance with project scope, timelines, and technical specifications.
• Evaluate contractor performance and ensure deliverables meet quality and cost expectations.
• Negotiate contract terms, work orders, and variation orders (VOs) to control project costs.
• Ensure timely processing of vendor bills, certification of work completion, and contract closure documentation.

Liaison & Compliance

• Handle liaison with

  Electrical Inspector

  Renewable Energy Department

  , and other statutory bodies.
• Manage approvals for net-metering, grid synchronization, load enhancement, and inspection clearances.
• Ensure projects comply with all statutory norms, electrical codes, and safety standards.

Planning, Monitoring & Quality

• Prepare and monitor project schedules, BOQs, resource planning, and material tracking.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes and maintain all project documentation.
• Review drawings, technical specifications, and work methodologies.
• Provide periodic progress reports to senior management and clients.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Skills:

• B.Tech/B.E in Electrical Engineering.

• 14+ years of experience

  in solar project execution (with minimum

  300+ MW

  experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, SLDs, industry codes, and safety standards.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing large teams and multi-location projects.
• Strong coordination, communication, vendor management, and liaisoning capabilities.
