Job Description

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct thorough market research to identify new export markets, trends, and opportunities.
    • Analyze market conditions, competitor strategies, and customer needs to inform business decisions.
    • Monitor regulatory and compliance requirements in target countries to ensure all export activities meet legal and industry standards

New Business Acquisition:

    • Identify and target potential international clients, partners, and distributors.
    • Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the companys international client base.
    • Initiate contact and lead negotiations with potential clients or partners, delivering compelling proposals and presentations.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth through international channels.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to customize product offerings for specific export markets.
    • Manage sales pipeline, set clear goals, and track progress against targets

Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients, distributors, and industry influencers.
    • Foster long-term partnerships to ensure repeat business and continued growth.
    • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly

Negotiation and Contract Management:

    • Lead negotiations of contracts and agreements with international buyers, ensuring favorable terms.
    • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with export laws, payment terms, and shipping requirements.
    • Monitor contract performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, pricing, or product quality.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with internal teams including logistics, operations, marketing, and finance to ensure successful execution of export activities.
    • Coordinate with supply chain and shipping departments to manage order fulfillment and ensure timely delivery to international clients.

Performance Reporting:

    • Track and report on sales performance, market developments, and the progress of business development activities.
    • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on business development outcomes and key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • Proven experience in business development or sales within an international export environment.

  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, shipping, and logistics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
