Job Summary

Data Engineer

ETL/ELT development, big data technologies (PySpark, Hadoop), workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain

  ETL/ELT data pipelines

  for finance data migration from

  SAP R/3 to S/4HANA

• Work extensively with

  PySpark and Hadoop-based environments

  for large-scale data processing
• Develop, schedule, and monitor workflows using

  Apache Airflow

• Collaborate with data analysts to understand transformation logic and implement

  data mapping specifications

• Coordinate with BI and reporting teams to ensure

  downstream data readiness

• Integrate data from

  SAP and non-SAP sources

  into

  AWS environments

  (S3, Postgres, etc.)
• Support

  data validation, functional testing, and UAT

  in collaboration with QA and business teams
• Participate in

  daily stand-ups and cross-regional meetings

  with India and US stakeholders
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, optimize performance, and document technical workflows
• Ensure

  data quality, governance, and consistency

  across systems

Required Qualifications (Mandatory)

• Minimum 6+ years of experience

  in Data Engineering or Data Pipeline Development
• Strong hands-on experience with

  PySpark, Hadoop

  , and distributed data processing frameworks

• At least 2+ years of experience with Apache Airflow

  , including DAG development and orchestration
• Solid understanding of

  ETL/ELT concepts and best practices

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS

  , specifically

  S3, Postgres

  , and cloud-based data workflows
• Strong proficiency in

  SQL and Python scripting

• Excellent communication skills with experience working across

  global teams and time zones

• Experience with

  SAP Finance data (GL, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, CO)

  is a strong plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with

  SAP S/4HANA data migration

• Hands-on exposure to

  SAP data extraction tools

  (SLT, BODS, SAP Data Services)
• Familiarity with

  BI & reporting tools

  such as Power BI, Tableau, or SAP Analytics Cloud
• Experience with

  Snowflake or Amazon Redshift

• Exposure to

  Agile/Scrum environments

  and cross-functional delivery teams
