Job Description

Role Description: As a Higg FEM Verifier for a certification body, your role is pivotal in ensuring that organizations meet and maintain the environmental standards required for the Higg Facility Environmental Module. You will conduct thorough assessments and “verification of companies” operations, practices, and environmental management systems to verify compliance with established sustainability standards and regulations. Your work will contribute to promoting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement in environmental performance across the Apparel, Footwear, Textiles, Home Textiles, Leather Goods, Footwear and Accessories and others. Qualifications: Educational Background: Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Relevant experience in environmental auditing or sustainability assessment. Familiarity with the apparel, footwear, or textile industries is advantageous. Certification: Professional certifications in environmental management or auditing (e.g., ISO 9001/14001/45001 Lead Auditor ) may be preferred. Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement. Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in reviewing documentation and conducting assessments. Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of relevant environmental laws, standards, and best practices. Training: Completion of specific Higg FEM training or courses provided by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition or certification bodies. PS - Additional Qualifications (Added Value): Professional certifications such as SA8000 Lead Auditor, WRAP, ISO 9001/14001/45001 Lead Auditor, as well as APSCA ASCA or CSCA certifications, are highly desirable and considered an added value.
