OEM Sales & Marketing High-Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) Unit

Role summary
Lead and grow OEM sales for our High-Pressure Die Casting manufacturing unit. You will own OEM account strategy, new business development, technical sales support, commercial negotiations, and cross-functional coordination (engineering, quality, operations) to convert OEM design wins into profitable, repeatable production orders. Success = sustained OEM partnerships, growing order book, improved quoting win-rate, and high on-time delivery and quality metrics.
Key responsibilities
Commercial & Business Development
- Develop and execute OEM go-to-market plans (2W, 3W, PV, CV, off-road, industrial components as applicable).
- Identify, target and convert new OEM customers and tier-1 suppliers; expand sales within existing OEMs.
- Own full sales cycle: lead generation, technical-commercial proposals, negotiations, PO closure, contract management.
- Build a healthy pipeline with accurate sales forecasts and conversion timelines.
Technical selling & pre-sale support
- Translate OEM technical requirements into manufacturable HPDC solutions (alloy recommendation, gating, tooling inputs, casting design for manufacturability).
- Lead quotation process (costing, process plan, CAPEX/OPEX inputs, quoting templates, margins).
- Coordinate with engineering / process development on prototype trials, DFM suggestions, PPAP, PFMEA and DOE.
Customer relationship & program management
- Be primary POC for assigned OEM accounts; manage program governance, change-requests, escalations.
- Run customer business reviews, supplier rating improvement actions, and drive corrective/preventive actions.
- Track KPIs: on-time delivery, first pass yield, scrap rates, customer rejection PPM, cost-savings delivered.
Internal collaboration
- Work closely with Toolroom, Quality, Process, Purchase and Logistics to ensure timely tool releases, trials, and serial production ramp-up.
- Feed market/competitor intel to product and manufacturing teams for continuous improvement.
Commercial controls & compliance
- Prepare and manage commercial agreements, NDAs, pricing frameworks, payment terms, and warranty/recall clauses.
- Ensure adherence to export/compliance rules for international OEMs where applicable.

Required qualifications & experience
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Production Engineering or similar. MBA (Sales/Marketing) desirable.
8–15+ years
total experience with minimum 5 years in OEM sales for die casting / aluminium casting / engine components / metal casting
— proven track record of winning OEM programs.- Strong technical understanding of HPDC (process parameters, alloys—Al-Si family, tool life, porosity control, gating/runner design, machining allowances, heat treatment, secondary operations).
- Experience managing Tier-1/Tier-2 OEM procurement cycles, RFQs, PPAP/PPF, Cpk capability studies.
- Comfortable with commercial negotiations, costing, and contract terms.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites and plant locations.
