HFM Consultant

functional and technical expertise in Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Metadata, Business Rules, and Memberlists in HFM
• Develop and maintain VB Scripts (Mandatory)
• Perform Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-End Validations
• Handle ICP Accounts, Journals, and Intercompany Reports
• Design and manage Data Forms and Data Grids
• Develop and troubleshoot FDMEE mappings and data load processes
• Create and modify reports using Financial Reporting Studio
• Assess and communicate the impact of technical changes on systems and users
  

🔹 Functional

• Apply financial consolidation and accounting principles within HFM
• Translate business requirements into HFM technical specifications
• Collaborate with business users to gather and deliver monthly consolidation needs
• Assign and track tasks to developers; ensure timely delivery
• Conduct independent User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before business validation
• Perform UAT jointly with business teams for Change Requests (CRs)
• Resolve user queries related to HFM functionality
• Prepare and maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes

• Engage with finance and business stakeholders to understand and deliver solutions
• Work in an Agile environment (preferred)
• Communicate proactively and clearly across cross-functional teams
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
• Strong expertise in VB Scripting (mandatory)
• Proficient in FDMEE, Financial Reporting Studio, Metadata, ICP, and Journals
• Solid understanding of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Proven experience with UAT planning, execution, and audit readiness
• Exposure to Agile methodologies is a plus
