Heating Air Conditioning Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced HVAC–MEP Design Engineer to join our client’s MEP design team in Pune, working on pharma, cleanroom and high‑spec commercial projects.

Role Overview

• End‑to‑end HVAC design for MEP projects: concepts, detailed design, and support during execution.
• Mix of office‑based design work and occasional site visits for coordination and quality checks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform heat and cooling load calculations; design ducting, piping, ventilation and exhaust systems.
• Select and size HVAC equipment (AHUs, chillers, pumps, fans, cooling towers) and prepare BOQ, technical specs and tender documents.
• Guide CAD draftsmen, review AutoCAD drawings/models, and ensure design accuracy and coordination with architects, structural and MEP teams.
• Ensure designs meet ASHRAE, ISHRAE and WHO/Pharma guidelines; support site teams with technical clarifications and quality checks.

Requirements

• Diploma/BE in Mechanical/HVAC with 3–6 years of experience in HVAC MEP design.
• Strong in load calculations, duct/pipe sizing, equipment selection and AutoCAD; experience working on pharma/cleanroom, labs, hospitals or similar projects is preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills; ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Added advantage: Exposure to Revit MEP/BIM and energy modeling tools (HAP/eQuest etc.).
