Job Purpose:
The Head of PMO is responsible for the end-to-end project control and coordination for solar cell and module manufacturing projects. This role works in close collaboration with the Project Head at Site who is responsible for on-ground executionwith both reporting directly to the CEO. The PMO Head oversees project governance, planning, budget control, risk management, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination, ensuring projects progress smoothly within scope, timeline, and budget.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Extensive experience in project management within manufacturing or solar energy sectors.
- Proven leadership skills in managing large-scale, complex projects with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong budget control, risk management, and vendor coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet project objectives and timelines.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Head at Site who manages day-to-day execution, ensuring alignment between strategic oversight and ground-level activities.
- Oversee project budgets and enforce cost controls, escalating risks or deviations early by raising red flags to senior management.
- Manage coordination with project heads/teams, design consultants, engineering consultants, production, equipment vendors, civil EPC, utility providers, procurement, finance, and other departments.
- Monitor project progress, risk, quality, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular project reviews and prepare reports for the CEO and senior management on project status and forecasts.
- Facilitate efficient communication and issue resolution between site execution teams and central project controls.
- Champion continuous improvement and adoption of best practices in project management processes.
- Collaboration with Project Head at Site - Both the Head of PMO and Project Head at Site report directly to the CEO.
- The Project Head at Site is responsible for the execution, construction, installation, safety, and quality assurance on the ground.
- The Head of PMO provides strategic project oversight, manages dependencies, cross-functional coordination, and controls.
- Both roles work in tandem to ensure project milestones are met, risks are mitigated, and issues resolved timely through frequent communication and joint reviews.
