Description
Key Responsibilities: Design and implement operational processes that drive efficiency and reduce costs, with a focus on production, quality, and delivery timelines. Develop and track operational KPIs, regularly evaluating processes to identify and address bottlenecks, ensuring alignment with growth objectives. Oversee manufacturing and assembly functions, ensuring production quality, compliance with industry standards, and scalability. Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, R&D teams to ensure efficient transition from design to production, focusing on efficient and scalable processes. Develop and Manage key vendor relationships to secure reliable, high-quality materials and components at optimal cost, building strong partnerships with strategic suppliers. Develop and execute supply chain strategies, including vendor selection, evaluation, and risk management, to ensure resilience and flexibility in the sourcing process. ¢ Oversee logistics, inventory control, and procurement, optimizing stock levels and minimizing lead times for enhanced operational agility. ¢ Work closely with legal and R&D teams to ensure IP & trademark protection strategies are aligned with product development and market positioning. ¢ Develop protocols for maintaining confidentiality, patent filing, and managing licensing agreements, and certifications to safeguard and monetize intellectual property. ¢ Collaborate with the finance team to manage operational budgets, and production costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives across supply chain, manufacturing, and assembly functions. ¢ Track and analyze operational expenses, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency without compromising quality. ¢ Provide regular financial reports on cost efficiencies, vendor savings, and productivity gains. ¢ Develop and implement quality control standards across manufacturing and assembly, ensuring product reliability and customer satisfaction. ¢ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety protocols, working closely with legal and compliance teams to manage risk. ¢ Establish risk management practices for vendor operations, supply chain, and IP protection, ensuring operational integrity. ¢ Build and lead a high-performing operations team, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration. ¢ Mentor team members, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and vision while fostering professional growth and innovation. ¢ Ensure cross-functional collaboration with product, R&D, and finance teams to achieve strategic business objectives. Qualifications: ¢ Experience: 10+ years in operations, manufacturing, assembly, or supply chain management with experience in IP management; at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role within a technology or deep tech company with manufacturing operations in a startup. ¢ Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus. Skills: ¢ Strong background in manufacturing/ assembly, vendor & inventory management, and process optimization, with knowledge of IP management best practices, and knowledge of latest tools ¢ Proven track record of achieving operational efficiencies, managing complex supply chains, and leading large-scale production efforts. ¢ Excellent negotiation, analytical, and project management skills. ¢ Strong problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset and hands-on approach.
