Head of Supply Chain Management

Role Overview: As the General Manager of Supply Chain Management at Aditya Birla Renewables Solar & Wind, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate seamless coordination between the Projects team and the Procurement function. Your role will involve ensuring accurate identification of material requirements for Solar and Wind projects, assisting in the creation of Purchase Requisitions (PRs), processing Purchase Orders (POs) in a timely manner, and overseeing on-time delivery of materials. You will be required to collaborate with various stakeholders such as Projects, Site, Quality, Engineering, Technology, and Procurement teams to finalize components post site inspection and resolve any supply chain bottlenecks with vendors. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with Project, Site, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify and finalize required components for Solar and Wind projects. - Consolidate and validate material specifications to ensure alignment with technical and quality standards. - Assist project teams in creating detailed and accurate Purchase Requisitions (PRs). - Provide critical inputs to Procurement teams for Purchase Order (PO) creation and vendor alignment. - Monitor and ensure timely material deliveries to project sites, actively following up with vendors and logistics partners. - Build strong working relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution. - Track and report progress of supply chain activities, highlighting risks and delays. - Ensure compliance with organizational Supply Chain Management policies and procedures. Qualification Required: - Education: B. Tech / BE in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field; MBA in Supply Chain preferred. - Experience: 15-20 years in Supply Chain / Project Coordination roles within the Renewables (Solar/Wind) or related EPC/IPP companies. - Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and project-based material planning. - Hands-on experience in handling site-based requirements and vendor follow-ups. - Good communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.,
