Head of Research

As the Head of the research team at Valorem Advisors in Mumbai, India, your role involves leading the research team in fundamental and financial analysis on public limited companies and Investor Relations activities. You will train analysts on fundamental and financial analysis of client companies, peers, and industry sectors. Your responsibilities include improving the quality of the team's fundamental and financial knowledge, performing quality and control checks on all company collaterals, and leading a team of more than 20 analysts. Key Responsibilities: - Creatively and fundamentally think and analyse companies to guide the team in the research process - Conduct in-depth research on client companies, peers, and industry sectors - Prepare, review, and guide the team in making fundamental reports and financial analysis - Develop financial models and investor presentations for client companies - Train and guide account managers to analyze companies effectively and present to the investor community - Perform various types of value-added analysis to enhance investor relations - Coordinate investor materials like quarterly earnings releases, conference call scripts, and annual reports - Respond to investor inquiries or guide the team in responding - Manage and enhance communication and investor relations reports with existing and potential clients Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in investor relations, finance, or equity markets - CA/CFA and/or MBA from a reputed B school preferred - Equity research experience from sell side/buy side, private equity, or investment banking - Experience in Training & Development, Teaching, and Leading teams in Equity Finance roles - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detailing - Strong relationship-building skills in the investment community - Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and PowerPoint - Expertise in researching publicly listed companies and analyzing equity stocks - Extensive experience in Indian and global equity markets with knowledge of the regulatory environment Please note that Valorem Advisors is a leading player in Investor Relations management in India and a key player in the fastest growing financial markets field.
