Head of Research

Role Overview: As the Head of Research Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to provide timely and accurate investment recommendations and analysis to deliver substantial returns to customers across all investor products and services. You will also lead and guide the equity research analyst team in conducting research and valuation of companies, develop financial models reflecting companies" performance, and identify investment opportunities in the Indian equity markets. Key Responsibilities: - Generate investment recommendations, stocks, sectors, and ideas for customers across all investor products and services. - Coordinate with Institution clients, Private Client Group (PCG), High Net Worth Individuals (HNI), and retail clients, addressing day-to-day queries and maintaining strong client relationships. - Lead and guide the equity research analyst team, generating new ideas, meeting with company managements, and presenting to institutional investors. - Design and develop product offerings from the Research department tailored for each segment of the company's clientele. - Develop financial models reflecting companies" performance and valuation, monitor companies in the existing portfolio, and make timely adjustments based on market conditions. - Analyze industry-specific trends, regulatory environments, and identify opportunities in sectors, formulate theme-based trading and investment ideas. - Develop short and long-term business strategies aligning with overall business objectives, recommend solutions to achieve organizational goals. - Handle client interactions, conference calls, corporate meetings, industry visits, and road shows, build and maintain a strong network in the industry. - Identify investment opportunities in the Indian equity markets, publish research reports on individual equities, and oversee budgets and policies for the Research Department. Qualifications Required: - Educational Qualification: MBA from a leading institution, CFA or CA. - Industry Background: Institutional Research/Mutual Funds. - Experience: Minimum 10 years with at least 5+ years leading/supervising teams, experience in institutional research is a must. - Age criteria: 40 and above. - Client Servicing Experience: Proven experience in servicing Institutional Clients. - Companies Under Coverage: 100+. - Skills: Thorough knowledge of financial markets, equity operations, trading strategies, settlements; knowledge of Algo trading is an additional benefit.,
