Role Objective

  • Driving the first wave of GMV
  • Improving conversion & AOV quickly
  • Identifying what sells (and killing what doesn’t)
  • Creating a scalable playbook for growth


Core Responsibilities


1. First-Month Revenue Ownership (Zero → Traction)
  • Take ownership of

    first-month GMV targets

  • Drive sales through:
  • Launch-focused merchandising
  • Hero category push
  • Limited drops & urgency-led campaigns
  • Quickly identify early winners (brands, SKUs, price points)
2. Marketplace Merchandising & Conversion Setup
  • Decide homepage & category priorities from scratch
  • Ensure:
  • Only high-quality, high-conversion catalogs go live
  • Clear pricing, fit & size confidence
  • Continuously refine product sequencing based on live data
3. Performance Marketing (Lean, ROI-First)
  • Launch and test paid channels with

    tight budgets

  • Focus on:
  • Fast learning cycles
  • Early ROAS validation
  • Scale only what converts — pause everything else
4. Brand & SKU Performance Control
  • Track brand-wise performance from day one
  • Push brands for:
  • Faster TAT
  • Better pricing
  • Stronger catalogs
  • Recommend:
  • Early restocks
  • Drop rescheduling
  • Removal of non-performing brands
5. Early Retention & Repeat Signals
  • Set up:
  • WhatsApp & email revenue flows
  • First-repeat purchase nudges
  • Build habits, not discounts:
  • New-in edits
  • Style-led re-engagement
6. Funnel & UX Ownership (Hands-On)
  • Track funnel daily:
  • Traffic → PDP → Add to Cart → Checkout
  • Identify:
  • Friction points
  • Trust gaps
  • Work with tech to fix revenue blockers fast


KPIs (First 90 Days)
  • First-month GMV achieved
  • Conversion rate improvement week-on-week
  • AOV stabilization
  • % repeat customers
  • Brand sell-through rate
  • ROAS on early paid tests

  • 3–7 years in ecommerce / D2C / marketplace growth
  • Has built or scaled a business
