Head of Merchandising

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the overall

  merchandising strategy

  aligned with business objectives and customer preferences
• Ensure optimal

  product assortment, allocation, and placement

  across 200+ stores based on demand, geography, and customer profile
• Drive

  seasonal and long-term merchandise planning

  , including forecasting, budgeting, and product lifecycle management
• Monitor performance metrics such as sell-through rates, stock turnover, and gross margins to optimize merchandise mix
• Collaborate closely with buying, planning, inventory, and store operations teams to ensure supply chain alignment
• Lead a team of merchandisers and planners, fostering a performance-driven and collaborative culture
• Analyze customer insights, market trends, and competitor activity to continuously refine assortment and pricing strategies
• Own revenue and margin targets across merchandising categories, with P&L accountability for ?500600 Cr
• Drive the integration of technology and analytics into merchandising decisions for improved efficiency
• Provide strategic input to senior leadership on category performance, risks, and growth opportunities
