Head of Institute / Principal in Commerce Stream

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide

  strategic leadership

  and oversee the overall administration of the Commerce stream.
• Ensure effective

  academic planning, curriculum design, and implementation

  in alignment with university and regulatory standards.
• Supervise

  teaching, learning, and research activities

  , ensuring quality and innovation.
• Promote faculty development through

  training, mentoring, and performance evaluations

  .
• Ensure compliance with all

  regulatory and accreditation bodies

  (UGC, NAAC, AICTE, etc.).
• Manage departmental

  budgets, resources, and infrastructure

  with efficiency and transparency.
• Strengthen

  industry–academia partnerships

  to enhance student internships, placements, and research opportunities.
• Foster a culture of

  innovation, ethics, and continuous improvement

  among students and faculty members.
• Represent the department in

  academic councils, committees, and external forums

  with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Commerce/Management or allied discipline (mandatory).
• Minimum 10–15 years of teaching/research experience in higher education, with at least 5 years in an administrative/leadership role.
• Strong academic background with publications in reputed journals.
• Proven record in curriculum design, research projects, and faculty development.
