About the role:

The Head of HR India will lead the HR function for the India office, managing a team of HR professionals.

The Head of HR India will lead the HR function for the India office, managing a team of HR professionals. The role covers the full HR cycle onboarding, performance management, career development, compensation & benefits, employee relations, and employee engagement. In addition, the Head of HR India will play a key role in leading HR integration initiatives for newly acquired companies in India, ensuring smooth alignment of people, processes, and policies. The Head of HR India will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, while ensuring operational excellence, compliance with Indian labor laws, and alignment with Ciklum's global HR strategy. This position requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with strong expertise in Indian labor law, employee relations, and people development.

Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Partnership:

  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for India leadership
  • Drive and execute HR initiatives aligned with global strategy and local business needs
  • Partner with global HR and CoE teams to adapt global programs to the Indian context

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle:

  • Oversee the entire employee lifecycle in India: onboarding, development, engagement, retention, and offboarding.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new hires.
  • Manage exit processes and provide insights to improve employee experience.
  • Lead payroll, HR administration, and benefits vendor management, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Employee Relations & Compliance:

  • Advise managers on employee relations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, employment regulations, and company HR policies
  • Keep updated on legislative changes and ensure policies and practices reflect them

Compensation, Benefits & Talent Management:

  • Drive the annual merit and promotion cycles, ensuring fairness and transparency
  • Provide guidance on compensation practices, benchmarking, and salary structures
  • Manage local benefits programs and recommend improvements aligned with employee needs and market best practices
  • Support performance management process

Employee Engagement & Culture:

  • Champion employee engagement, wellbeing, and recognition initiatives in India
  • Organize local engagement activities and cultural programs
  • Act as a role model in fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture
  • Support career growth and learning initiatives for employees

HR Reporting & Data:

  • Maintain accurate HR records in compliance with data privacy standards
  • Provide HR analytics and insights to support decision-making

Requirements:

  • 10-12 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership of HR teams
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labor law and HR compliance regulations
  • Proven experience across the full HR cycle: performance, development, engagement, compensation, and compliance
  • Hands-on experience in payroll and benefits administration
  • Fluent English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work both strategically and operationally in a fast-paced, multinational environment
