Head of Department

In this role, you will support the bid management and costing team by assisting in compliance sheet and Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation for tenders. Your responsibilities will include preparing technical feasibility study documents for tender submissions and bid enquiries. You will calculate weights from tender documents to determine the necessary solution specifications to meet customer requirements. Additionally, you will provide textile requirements for protection against ballistic, stab, and impact threats as requested by customers. Your role will involve solution development at all stages, starting from material selection to product testing. You will need to coordinate with the testing team, study test reports, and prepare action plans to address any identified gaps. Furthermore, you will provide contingency plans for risks identified in compliance sheets, prepare risk matrices for Business Development (BD) projects, and work towards cost improvement through continuous enhancement in material selection. Timely completion of all tender and BD projects, updating ballistic and mechanical data files monthly, preparing control plans for manufacturing developed solutions, and handling Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for customer and production complaints will also be part of your responsibilities. - Support bid management and costing team in compliance sheet, BOM preparation in tenders - Prepare technical feasibility study document for tender preparation and bid enquiry - Responsible for weight calculation from tender to identify solution specs required to meet customer demand - Provide textile requirement for protections against ballistic, stab, impact as asked by customer - Responsible for solution development at all stages from material selection to product testing - Follow up with the testing team for test report - Study test report and prepare action plan if any gap identified - Provide contingency plans for risks identified in compliance sheet - Prepare risk matrix for BD projects and provide contingency plan for the same - Work towards cost improvement of products by continuous improvement in material selection - Responsible for timely completion of all tender and BD projects - Updating the ballistic data and mechanical date file on a monthly basis - Preparing control plan for manufacturing of developed solution - Preparing CAPA for customer complaints and KPI nonadherence - Provide CAPA for production complaints Qualifications: - M.Tech/ B. Tech in Material Science / Textile Engineering Relevant Experience: - 15 to 18 years of overall experience - Prior experience in Ballistic equipment designing such as Safety Armor, Helmets, Shields etc.,
