Job Overview

We are seeking a senior-level Head of Accounts / Factory Accountant to lead the entire accounts and finance function at our manufacturing plant.

This is a key leadership role, acting as the Second-in-Command to the Admin & HR Manager, and closely coordinating with the Factory Manager and Head Office finance team.

The position is factory-based and ideal for candidates with strong manufacturing accounting, compliance, and MIS experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Head and manage day-to-day factory accounting operations
• Maintain books of accounts, vouchers, ledgers, and statutory registers
• Handle petty cash, bank transactions, and payment controls
• Manage inventory accounting, material inward/outward tracking, and reconciliation
• Ensure GST, TDS, statutory compliances, and timely filings
• Prepare monthly MIS reports for Head Office (P&L, cost sheets, variance analysis)
• Coordinate with Factory Manager on production data and cost control
• Work closely with HR for payroll processing, attendance, and statutory deductions
• Liaise with auditors, consultants, banks, and statutory authorities
• Supervise and guide junior accounts staff
• Support management with financial insights and cost optimization

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 7–10+ years in factory / manufacturing accounting
• Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
• Technical Skills:
• Tally Prime / Tally ERP
• Strong Excel & MIS reporting skills
• Functional Skills:
• GST & statutory compliance
• Inventory & cost accounting
• Team supervision & coordination
• Location Requirement:
• Must be willing to work at Ponnapuram factory location (Dharapuram Taluk)
