Head IT (Information Technology)(AGM / DGM)

Role & responsibilities

• Lead IT Strategy & Digital Roadmap:

  Drive long-term technology planning aligned with business expansion, operational excellence, and cost optimisation goals.

• Enterprise Systems Excellence (SAP & Core Applications):

  Strengthen SAP utilisation, ensure seamless business process integration, and improve user efficiency through continuous system optimisation.

• Technology Infrastructure Leadership:

  Ensure resilient, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure covering networks, servers, cloud, data centres, and business-critical systems.

• Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance Management:

  Build a strong security posture, oversee ISMS compliance, conduct periodic audits, and ensure timely response to incidents.

• Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery:

  Implement and monitor robust DR frameworks, backup policies, and risk-mitigation systems to minimise downtime.

• AI, Automation & Emerging Technology Adoption:

  Champion digital transformation initiatives including automation, AI-enabled decision making, and process innovation.

• IT Governance & Policy Frameworks:

  Define, update, and enforce IT policies, SOPs, and compliance standards across the organisation.

• Budgeting, Cost Control & Vendor Management:

  Drive strategic procurement, negotiate with vendors, manage IT budgets effectively, and ensure measurable ROI on technology investments.

• Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

  Develop a high-performing IT team, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and enable a culture of continuous improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience:

  10 to 20 years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably within

  manufacturing, steel, engineering, or process industries

  .

• Expertise:

  Strong knowledge of SAP Cloud (PP/MM/SD/FI), IT infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, and enterprise-wide system integration.

• Technical Leadership:

  Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation, automation, AI adoption, and large-scale technology upgrades.

• Compliance & Governance:

  Hands-on experience with ISMS, ISO standards, audits, and regulatory compliance.

• Business Orientation:

  Ability to align IT initiatives with business strategy, operational goals, and cost-efficiency requirements.

• Decision-Making & Problem-Solving:

  Strong analytical capability with the ability to manage crises, downtime, and technology risks effectively.

• People & Vendor Management:

  Proven experience in team development, stakeholder engagement, and external vendor/partner management.

• Education:

  Bachelors degree in IT/Computer Science; Masters degree or relevant certifications (e.g., SAP, CISSP, ITIL) preferred.
