Key Roles & Responsibilities

(Not limited to the below)

1. HR Operations & Workforce Discipline

  • Lead HR operations for ~1,500 employees across Pune locations
  • Ensure accuracy in attendance, shifts, leave management, and payroll inputs
  • Maintain 100% employee documentation (appointments, confirmations, transfers, exits)
  • Drive workforce discipline, absenteeism control, and prevent absconding cases
  • Manage contract labour deployment, documentation, and wage compliance

2. Recruitment, Onboarding & Early Attrition Control

  • Drive end-to-end hiring for Relationship Managers, Service Advisors, Technicians, and support staff
  • Achieve manpower fill rates as per approved budgets
  • Ensure structured induction and same-day documentation for new joiners
  • Monitor and reduce early attrition (030–60–90 days)
  • Maintain manpower dashboards and hiring conversion ratios

3. Employee Relations, Grievance Handling & POSH Execution

  • Act as first-level HR authority for grievances and misconduct cases
  • Coordinate domestic inquiries, charge-sheeting, and documentation under CHRO guidance
  • Serve as POSH SPOC for Pune; ensure statutory displays, awareness sessions, and complaint facilitation
  • Promote ethical conduct, discipline, and a fair resolution culture

4. Statutory & Legal Compliance (Pune Region)

Ensure compliance with:

  • Shops & Establishments Act
  • PF, ESI, and Gratuity
  • Contract Labour Regulation Act
  • Factories Act (for workshops)

Additional responsibilities:

  • Maintain statutory registers, records, and monthly/annual returns
  • Lead labour inspections, audits, and government interactions
  • Monitor contractor statutory compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Labour Codes and other applicable laws

5. Performance, Training & Engagement

  • Execute PMS cycles: goal setting, mid-year, and annual reviews
  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning interventions
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and communication forums
  • Cascade HR policies, values, code of conduct, and behavioural standards

6. MIS, Reporting & HO Coordination

  • Publish weekly and monthly dashboards (headcount, attrition, hiring, attendance, compliance)
  • Coordinate closely with Group CHRO and Corporate HR on initiatives
  • Support HRIS implementation, digital HR tools, and process automation

7. Culture, Values & Leadership Support

  • Reinforce customer centricity, discipline, ethics, and operational excellence
  • Support business leaders with people insights and manpower planning
  • Ensure a stable and productive work environment across showrooms and workshops

8. Any other responsibilities
