Located in Punjab’s Mansa district, Talwandi Sabo Power Ltd. (TSPL) represents the largest private thermal power facility in North India, with an installed capacity of 1980 MW, contributing nearly 30% of the state’s electricity demand. Meenakshi Energy Ltd. (MEL) in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati district has a capacity of 1000 MW, while Vedanta Ltd. Chhattisgarh Thermal Power Plant (VLCTPP) in Singhitarai village, Sakti district, is a 1200 MW coal-based thermal power plant. Together, these plants reflect Vedanta Power’s commitment to powering progress through high-performance assets and regional impact.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and implement the overall HSE strategy aligned with Vedanta sustainability goals.
• Monitor and evaluate HSE performance, identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead the design and implementation of health and safety programs for employees and contractors.
• Lead risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations to build a zero-harm culture across operations.
• Develop ESG roadmap and manage sustainability reporting, disclosures and stakeholder communications.
• Collaborate with plant leadership for resource optimization, waste management, and emission control initiatives.
• Liaise with government authorities, regulators, and external auditors for HSE & ESG compliance and approvals.
• Ensure 100% compliance with statutory norms and Vedanta standards related to safety, environment, and sustainability

Qualification and Experience

• B.E./B.Tech with Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent.
• 10 to 15 years of HSE management experience, with exposure to Vedanta Safety Standards or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities to manage safety risks and implement mitigation strategies.
