Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the organizations financial strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and modeling to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Provide financial insights to guide investments, pricing, capacity planning, and product costing.
  • Advise the CEO and executive team on business performance, risks, and opportunities.

2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting

  • Oversee preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs, especially manufacturing and operational metrics.
  • Present financial results to the Board of Directors.

3. Costing & Manufacturing Finance

  • Lead standard costing, BOM analysis, and product margin optimization.
  • Monitor plant-level financials, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and cost-per-unit performance.
  • Evaluate capital expenditures (CapEx) and ROI on manufacturing equipment.
    Implement cost reduction initiatives across operations, procurement, and supply chain.

4. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and liquidity.
  • Optimize inventory, receivables, and payables to enhance cash cycles.
  • Oversee funding, credit lines, and capital structure decisions.

5. Compliance, Governance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and oversee audits (internal & external).
  • Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and market risks.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance practices.

6. ERP & Systems

  • Oversee financial systems, ERP implementations, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Drive automation in reporting, costing, and production finance processes.

7. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop the finance & accounts team across corporate and plant locations.
  • Build a strong performance-driven culture with focus on accuracy and integrity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, MBA Finance, or equivalent.
  • 12–20+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, supply chain finance, and plant operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success in managing growth, cost optimization, and financial controls.
