Job Description

Market & Customer Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in C&I and Utility Sectors

  • Engage with customers in sub-segments like data centres, manufacturing, infrastructure, and commercial real estate.

Sales & Commercial Strategy

  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to proposal, pricing, negotiation, and closing.

  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to structure TCO/ROI models, PPAs, and lease/rental offerings.

  • Track tenders RFS/NIT pipelines from SECI, NTPC, and state agencies.

Strategic Partnerships

  • Build partnerships with OEMs, EPCs, BESS integrators, and financing partners to unlock turnkey or performance-based solutions.

  • Explore ToD arbitrage, and grid services as business models.

Reporting & Planning

  • Track market developments, regulatory updates (e.g., CERC, MNRE), and competitors.

  • Prepare periodic BD reports and pipeline forecasts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Energy, or Business; MBA preferred.

  • 5–10 years of experience in business development/sales in renewables, solar, energy efficiency, or ESS.

  • Understanding of power markets, tariffs, ToD pricing, and customer pain points in the Indian energy landscape.

  • Prior experience selling to industrial and commercial customers.

  • Knowledge of energy storage technologies, BESS economics, and SECI/NTPC tender structures.

  • Familiarity with financial modelling (LCOE, IRR, TCO) and commercial terms in leasing/rental.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
