Head - Applications Engineering

Role Overview: As an Applications Manager, your primary responsibility will be to act as the lead technical products liaison for the customers. You will analyze customer needs and provide efficient product design and development engineering solutions. Your role will involve coordinating product materials, manufacturing processes, testing, quality control, project management, and troubleshooting to ensure successful project development and release. Additionally, you will manage the CAE team and collaborate with various departments to bring new products to market, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance business retention. Your advanced technical knowledge will enable you to provide technical assistance, coaching, and mentoring to other team members. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the daily activities of Technical Sales Engineers (TSEs), providing technical support, leadership, and mentoring on a regular basis - Ensure timely responses and actions for customer interactions, reporting KPI results to the Director, Engineering & Project Management - Standardize quotations across the department according to company standards - Drive new product commercialization projects by identifying and eliminating obstacles, setting clear tasks, and providing timetables for customers - Review technical inquiries and recommend suitable hot runner system solutions to customers and sales representatives - Keep customers and sales representatives informed and ensure adherence to customer standards in designs - Participate in technical review meetings and mold start-ups to ensure successful application of hot runner systems - Supervise personnel, define work assignments, and manage employee relations within the team - Keep abreast of technological developments related to hot runner systems by attending training courses and industry meetings Qualifications Required: - University Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 12 years of related experience OR CIPET/NTTF with a minimum of 15 years of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience - Experience with SAP or an ERP system preferred - Minimum 4-5 years of experience in Hot Runner system development - Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a leadership role - Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent organizational skills - Ability to interpret technical documentation, communicate effectively, and cultivate positive customer relationships - Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and refine business project objectives About the Company: Milacron is a global leader in the plastic technology and processing industry, offering highly engineered systems.
