Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Hardware & Networking Engineer to join our IT team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the organization’s computer networks, hardware infrastructure, and ensuring system security and efficiency. The ideal applicant must have hands-on experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of hardware systems, firewalls, servers, and networking protocols.

Key Responsibilities:Hardware & Infrastructure:

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktop PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Diagnose and replace faulty hardware components (e.g., motherboard, RAM, HDD, SMPS).
• Assemble new systems and ensure proper tagging and asset management.
• Maintain accurate IT inventory and documentation.

Networking & Security:

• Set up and maintain LAN/WAN, routers, switches, modems, and Wi-Fi networks.
• Monitor network performance and ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
• Configure and manage firewalls (FortiGate, Sophos, etc.) for network protection.
• Enforce network security protocols, antivirus, and access control measures.

Server Management:

• Assist with basic Windows/Linux server administration and user management.
• Monitor server performance, uptime, and storage health.
• Support regular patching, backups, and basic system maintenance.

Technical Support:

• Provide Level 1 and 2 support for hardware and network-related issues.
• Install software and assist in managing email, user accounts, and access rights.
• Log all incidents and resolutions for future reference and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of proven experience in IT hardware, networking, and server support.
• Solid understanding of IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and LAN/WAN concepts.
• Experience in firewall installation, configuration, and management.
• Basic knowledge of server setups and administration (Windows/Linux).
• Preferred Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA A+/N+, MCSE or similar.
