Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Hadoop Engineer role based in Delhi, Ohio. The Hadoop Engineer will design, develop, and maintain Hadoop-based solutions, focusing on data processing and analytics. Responsibilities include managing Hadoop clusters, optimizing data architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration, and implementing solutions to support big data platforms. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, ensuring data security, and enhancing performance to promote efficient data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, Hive, HBase, and MapReduce
• Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and database management
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Scala, and Python
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, and Pig
• Understanding of system performance optimization and scalable distributed systems
• Problem-solving skills to debug, optimize, and resolve technical challenges
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and knowledge of DevOps practices is a plus
